Last updated: 2 October 2026
This page explains what personal data .lapiņas telpa collects when you visit lapinastelpa.lv or get in touch, why it is collected and what your rights are.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Inese Alma Lapiņa, operating as .lapiņas telpa (Mājīguma arhitektūra), Latvia. You can reach us at [email protected] or +371 26 498 881.
What data we collect
When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we receive the details you choose to share: your name, phone number, email address, the content of your message and, if you send them, photos or plans of your space.
The website stores a cc_cookie cookie (6 months) that remembers your cookie choice. Only if you agree do we use Google Analytics, which sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (up to 2 years) so we can understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. We do not use marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Why we use it
We use your data to answer your enquiry, arrange the first meeting and provide the service you ask for. The legal basis is the steps needed before and during a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and correspondence are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless a project continues or the law requires us to keep documents longer (for example invoices under Latvian accounting rules).
Who else sees it
We do not sell or share your data for marketing. Messages sent through WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland) under its own privacy terms. Email and website hosting providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the service. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within one month.
If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data changes, this page will be updated and the date above will show when.
